Kate Ryckman is a local artist living in Carp. She is a graduate of Sheridan College with a diploma in Applied Photography. Kate also completed numerous courses in fine art and photography at the Ottawa School of Art and Humber College.
Art has always been a part of Kate’s life in one-way or another. You can feel this in her work, as her infinite passion for creativity has never limited her to a single medium or style. Currently, Kate's preference is working with acrylics on canvas. Her art comes from within, reflecting her colorful personality. Many of her pieces are floral designs, which represent the growth and delicateness she has come to appreciate as being a part of life.
