Nancy began studying Visual Arts at CEGEP John Abbott in Montreal and pursued an art career in Ottawa, Ontario, soon graduating with a Fine Arts Diploma from Algonquin College in 1979. Over the next 10 years Green developed her skills working with professional artists studying part-time, and then working full-time towards a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Studio) degree from the University of Ottawa in 1992.
