Mette returned to a childhood passion and began to paint seriously in the mid-80s. She studied in Australia for one year at the Canberra School of Art. She has painted in oil right from the beginning and still loves to work in that medium. During the last few years she has also discovered soft pastels and is excited about the "closeness" and the pure colours that the medium offers.
